Matthew 1:21 - And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
One of the most profound moments in time, is when God revealed himself through the birth from Mary. He was to be named Jesus (which means to deliver, to rescue). Christmas is the time to celebrate the birth of Jesus and remember why he came down to earth. Through his love and grace we are given eternal life through the shedding of his blood to forgive our sins.
It's easy to forget what the true meaning of Christmas is all about with all of the presents, decorations, food and the main focus of Santa Claus. Let us put away these distractions and really remember what Christmas is all about. Jesus Christ!
