Isaiah 7:14 - All right then, the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means 'God is with us').
When we read the Old Testament it soon becomes clear that God had a plan for mankind right from the beginning. But prophecies spoken thousands of years earlier hold much weight when we see them fulfilled in the New Testament.
